50 Cent Is On a Mission to Feed One Billion

This is EXACTLY what every entertainer, or anyone for that matter, should be doing when they reach a point in their careers when they can help the nations. I made a comment on twitter a couple weeks ago about some rapper who wasted $45,000 in an Atlanta strip club, saying that the money should have gone to a greater cause by donating to a few churches and non-profit organizations.

50 Cent understands the principle of giving back, when you get, to give. He has been blessed tremendously with fame and fortune and I am SO pleased to see him seeking something spiritually deeper than just making popular music, movies, and consumer goods just to make money. He is using his fame and fortune to help the nations to fight hunger. His mission is to feed a billion starving people all over the world. He recently made his way to a refugee camp in Dolo, Somalia with Dan Harris with ABC News in support of the United Nations World Food Program. The UN had reservations about accepting 50 Cent's money due to his image and graphic lyrics, but he told them he was looking for more meaning in his life. He also revealed that his fans may not understand and they may not be growing at the same pace as he is.

50 Cent wrote on facebook, "I'm in Somalia this week to show the world the devastation that is taking place. Children going hungry everyday, even dying everyday from hunger. I am going to keep sending thru images from out here. I need you to take these photos and re-post to your friends. The world needs to see what is going on."

I'm hoping his fans and peers in entertainment will see this and follow suit! Keep goin 50, KEEP IT GOING!

Sidenote: I'm upset that ABC would criticize 50's want to help the nations, by calling the rapper's "next chapter a mid-life crisis"...  seriously Dan Harris and Alexis Waterfield??
