God Will Complete His Work In Your Life!

Today's inspirational nugget is courtesy of Joel Olsteen Ministries!

"And David said to his son, Solomon, 'Be strong and of good courage, and do it; do not fear nor be dismayed, for the LORD God - my God - will be with you. He will not leave you nor forsake you, until you have finished all the work for the service of the house of the LORD'" (1 Chronicles 28:20, NKJV)

Is there something you've been believing for, something you've been hoping for that's taking longer than you expected? You might be tempted to just accept things the way they are. You  might be tempted to think it's never going to happen. If that's you today, be encouraged because God is a finisher! He will complete what He's started in you!

Your part is to believe. Your part is to keep your eyes on Him. When you believe, you have the Creator of the universe fighting your battles, arranging things in your favor, going before you, moving the wrong people out of the way. Don't be intimidated by the size of a problem or the size of your dream! Don't let circumstances convince you to stop believing. "Jehovah Jireh, the Lord our Provider, is still on the throne. One touch of God's favor and you'll go from barely getting by to having more than enough! Begin to thank Him and declare that God is at work. Declare that He is perfecting what concerns you. Declare that He will complete everything He's started in your life!

A Prayer for Today - Father God, I thank You for completing every good work that You have started in my life. I choose to believe Your Word, even when things look impossible. I choose to believe that You are working behind the scenes and that You will bring victory and breakthrough to every area of my life in Jesus' name! Amen.

MTV Mixtape Daily: Rap Fire Starter Joe Cool Just Wants the "Fame"

Shout out to this dude, Joe Cool! Man, I've seen this guy at the very beginning of his career when a friend of mine, One Nine, featured him on a "Next Up" mixtape project that I marketed and promoted in Baton Rouge, LA. I've been watching his career blossom and transform since 2008 and I support him 200%. He's a super talented lyricist and a super, super star. He writes and produces majority of his material and is a rare talent from Louisiana. To see him being featured on MTV's Mixtape Daily is soooooo dope! #WERK

NEW MUSIC: Brandy's "Put It Down" feat. Chris Brown

#BOOM

Brandy just released her new single "Put It Down" featuring C.Breezy. For one, nice move after the VH1 "Behind the Music" episode premiere. I see the team is working strategically for Brandy. I like this song for B.Rocka. It's a nice balance between the sound the youth wants to hear with adult content for us grown and sexy folks. Adding the hottest R&B singer in the game right now is definitely a plus. And I love the animated promo picture for the single. Nice.

Do We Love?!

I hope the video matches what I'm visualizing in my head. If she gets this right, it could be a WIN for Ms. B Rocka!

Brandy's "Behind the Music" on VH1 [Video Trailer]

Brandy's episode of VH1's "Behind the Music" airs next week, Wednesday, April 25th! She will be discussing her rise to fame as the successful television actress and multi-platinum selling R&B singer that she is, also tackling some of the pivotal  points of her career.

Brandy was and still is one of my biggest inspirations musically but she has had to deal with some very harsh moments in her career with the fatal car accident she was involved in in 2006 and also lying to us about her marriage to her baby's father in 2003. I for one am going to be tuned into VH1 next week to get The Juice. We have all been waiting to hear Brandy tell her story.

I love you B.Rocka!

"Think Like A Man" Cast Does a HBCU Promo Tour!

I thought this was just a brilliant strategy to take what you would normally do for a music marketing grass roots promo campaign and turn into a film/movie grass roots promotions campaign. I LIVE for campaigns like this one! Shout to the ladies at 135th Street Agency. You are doing a wonderful job with the public relations, marketing and promoting of Steve Harvey's newest movie, "Think Like A Man."

They also visited North Carolina A&T, FAMU, Howard and Hampton University!

For those of you who are living under an entertainment rock, the movie is based off of Steve's best selling relationship advice book "Act Like a Lady, Think Like a Man" which stars Kevin Hart, Michael Ealy, Jerry Ferrara, Meagan Good, Regina Hall, Teraji P. Henson, Terrance J, Jennifer Lewis, Romany Malco, Gabrielle Union, and La La Anthony. It also has cameo appearances from Chris Brown, Wendy Williams, Sherri Sheppard, Nephew Tomy, Steve Harvey and much more. I mean, everybody is in this movie! The movie was directed by Tim Story and produced by Will Packer.

I can not wait to go see this comedic film. Shout out to everyone who was involved in this project from the writers, actors and actresses, on down to the production assistants!

#BusinessCommandments by Steve Canal

Twitter can be very inspiring, at times. Last night I came across one of my good friend's, Steve Canal, tweets on what he considers the "Business Commandments." I totally agreed and thought they were #Juice worthy! He concluded them with saying, "I hope my #BusinessCommandments can help someone make a better business decision this week!"

Business Commandments:
1. Know your value. Don't sell yourself short.
2. Study your craft and master it. Understand all angles.
3. Innovation, innovation and more innovation!
4. Listen to the people who buy your products or services.
5. Invest back into your brand.
6. Don't guess your scope of work from a client. Understand their needs.
7. Study your competition and their moves.
8. Usually if you're quiet at a business meeting, it's usually because you don't understand what's going on. #NoValue
9. Support your community.
10. Less is more. Get to the point. #NoFluff
11. Stay in your lane.
12. Deliver on your promises. Do what you say and say what you do!
13. Take vacations and encourage employees to do the same.
14. Timing and luck is everything.

I believe in every one of these "Business Commandments." Honestly, all of these are essential to how you should conduct your business to improve your company's value and worth and to beat out your competition. I call it good "Business Etiquette."  Steve, I believe you should go ahead and become a published author. I'd buy this book for sure. Follow Steve on twitter at @SteveCanal.

Sidebar: Ladies, Steve is a very attractive, tall, successful, and respectful business man! I'm not absolutely sure what his formal title is for Miller Coors, but I do know that he's running things. Last time I checked, he was still single. Shouts out to you Steve, much respect! ;-)

Who's Ready for Single Ladies on VH1?

This show, Single Ladies, is definitely one of my guilty pleasures and it seems as though it may be even better than season 1 with the absence of the show's premiering star, Stacey Dash. Replacing her is the beautiful All My Children actress and longtime model, Denise Vasi. This chick is gorgeous! I absolutely love this show from the being able to relate to the fun of being single, dating, on down to the fashions. My DVR will be set faithfully and I can't wait until the Season 2 premiere party!

Some guest star appearances in season 2 are T.I., Romeo Miller, La La Anthony, Pilar Sanders, and Ricky Whittle to name a few. This is one very attractive cast, I must say. I have a few names in my head I would like to see make guest appearances.

Check out some behind the scene photos from on set of Single Ladies!

The show is scheduled to premiere some time in May. My popcorn and glass of wine will be ready! lol...

Put God in Remembrance of His Promise!

Isaiah 62:6 - "Put God in remembrance of His promise." - Pray the prayer, not the problem!

Remind God what He said. It's one of the most powerful ways to pray. Find the promise in scripture and remind God what He said about you. When you can say "God you said" all of heaven will stand at attention because God is faithful to His own word!

Sometimes, we use prayer as an excuse to complain about problems in our lives. Work, gas prices, our children, etc. You don't have to tell God your problems. He already knows what you are going through. Yes be open and honest, but don't turn it into a self pitty session. If you want to see change and see your situation turn around, find a promise you can stand on in scripture and go to God with His promise. "Gas prices are high, but God you said you will supply all of my needs and the people at work are getting on my nerves, but God you said you will fight all of my battles. God you said you would restore health upon me and heal my wounds. God, you said ALL things will work together for my good."

Pray the promise instead of the problems and it will change your situation from being the victim to the victor. God will dispatch His angels into motion when He hears His word coming from your mouth. Get into the habit of saying "God you said" and you will see the results in your life. Keep not silent and give Him no rest until it comes to pass! Be persistent and in faith go to God and remind Him over and over what He promised you! Present your case to God, bring forth your argument minus your own feelings and show your proof in the word. Jesus is our advocate!

Talking about the problems won't change the situation, but proper prayer changes things and it also changes you.

Inspired by teachings from Joel Olsteen Ministries.
