NEW MUSIC: Brandy & Monica's "It All Belongs to Me"

Well , well, well..... What we have all been waiting to hear... well at least what I've been dying to hear since I'm a HUGE 90's R&B fan and the Brandy and Monica "The Boy is Mine" collaboration from 1998 was my joint!... BUT i'm not too sure how I feel about this sequal.. I love the track, but I felt as if there should be more emotion in the writing to compliment the emotion in the production.. It started off great, but they lost me when the pre-hook and the hook came in... I mean, they're talking about clothes, cars, rings, mac books, facebook, etc.. Maybe they thought those things would appeal to the younger generation and that age group would relate to it, since they are in their 30's..... And I felt like Monica's verse was like 2 seconds long... These ladies have been through so much in the past 14 years since the first single, they could have expressed so much more in this song.... mayn, this could have been a banger!.. In my personal opinion, Ne-Yo would have probably KILLED the writing on this one... He got Beyonce that world wide female anthem "to the left, to the left"... I'm Just Sayin.

I don't know about this writing Rico, but none the less, I still love my girls... but I doubt if I add this one the the playlist.... #sadface

CLIENT NEWS: DJ Poizon Ivy Deejays the Brew City Stomp Down Alongside Show's Host, Free!

This past Saturday (2/4/12) was the date of the infamous annual Brew City Stomp Down. The event is one of the biggest step shows in the Mid-West. The event was put together by Marquette University's National Pan-Hellenic Council: Omega Psi Phi, Kappa Alpha Psi, Alpha Kappa Alpha, Delta Sigma Theta, Zeta Phi Beta, Alpha Phi Alpha, Phi Beta Sigma, Sigma Gamma Rho, and Iota Phi Theta. Also, it provides a positive quality social experience for the community that includes scholarship opportunities for college students. And it allows the NPHC to act on their belief in unity. This year's step show event was hosted by none other than television personality and female rapper Free (formally of BET's 106 & Park). The music was provided by local Milwaukee deejay, DJ Poizon Ivy. And sponsors for the event include: INROADS, City Year, V100.7, and State Farm. Those in the building were treated to music by DJ Poizon Ivy. She played a little of everything from Beyonce to Soulja Boy and the crowd loved it all. She would prove to be a great source of entertainment for the crowd throughout the rest of the night. Knowing What to Ignore

To live in victory, every battle isn't yours to fight. Negative comments or thoughts and negative people should be ignored. These things are distractions to lure us off our course. If it's not a battle related directly to you and your God given destiny, then ignore it.

Get good at knowing what to ignore. Don't waste time in engaging conflicts that do not matter. What people say about you does not define who you are. What people have to say do not determine your worth and value. Stop trying to convince people who you are, trying to win over the critics. Accept the fact that some people will NEVER praise you and recognize your gifts and talents, and that's OK! God has already lined up the right people who will celebrate you and help you to fulfill your destiny. Ignore them. Let God fight your battles and the more they talk, the more God will bless you. The key is not to get distracted by the nay-sayers and non-believers. Ask yourself, "Self, (lol) If i get involved in this fight, what is the prize? Will I advance IF I win?" The energy you are using to prove people wrong is energy wasted you could have used to pursue your God given destiny. Nine times out of ten, those same people fear you and are jealous of you. Those people are crows, chickens, hawks and turkeys, but you are an eagle. Eagles sore at altitudes that crows, chickens, hawks and turkeys cannot. Rise above the negativity.

Do not lose focus! Don't lose sleep over someone who is not for you. At the end of the day, you only have to answer to God. Always remember, Jesus had haters! If you're going to be great, there WILL be haters and critics. Take it as a compliment, because it means you are doing something right and making a difference. The higher you go, the more haters will come out of the wood works. The more you're promoted, the more you will have to ignore them.

You will see your life go into a new level of purpose if you LEARN WHAT TO IGNORE! The mark of a true champion is knowing what battles are yours to fight. Let God fight the battles that do not matter!
